It's coming!!

GIRL POWER

What can I say about Katy B, well firstly she looks like a bad b*tch in our black sleevless LDN vest

Additionally she has just unveiled the release of her new single: 'What love is made of,' debuting it rather unfortunately on annie macs show; (please ANYONE but mac, i'd rather pull out my left tonsil than listen to her unwitty radio repartees).

In March Katy B told Billboard that her second album was 95% complete, noting that she had:

''basically got some great tracks and (she) think(s) (she'll) just keep writing until the end. A lot of stuff is getting mixed and mastered at the moment, so you just never know when you can just write something special at the last minute."

Well we can't wait for the release of her next album, this girl be FIERCE. We wish her the best for 2013.

-

Speaking of fierce women, they seem to be dominating the music scene at the moment these girls are hotties. We wanna welcome them with open arms to my house for a red stripe and a smoke. I mean, just LOOK at their  lovely little faces.

These lovely gyaldem were signed to Warner in August 2011 and they released their first promotional single, "Betty Woz Gone", in October 2011. It was announced on 5 December that Stooshe had been nominated for the BBC's sound of 2012 poll. Their official debut single, 'Love me' feat. Travie McCoy saw the group attain chart success, with the single peaking at number five on the UK singles chart.

Obviously they've been wearing our stuff too, which is another reason to add to the many reasons why we love them so. Check out cutie Courtney in our Polka sweater

(available at Topshop)

The group are set to release their debut studio album, London With The Lights On, on 27 May 2013 and we can't WAIT!

GIRL POWER!

This week's been a mad one!! Roll on the next!

Offbeat & Made in Shoreditch Presents Shoreditch Fashion Show

‘öff-beat is a lifestyle brand seeking to engage its audience with dynamic events and engaging content. Working with talent from a range of artistic backgrounds – painters, photographers, musicians and designers – (they) are bridging the gap between talent and opportunity.'

-

Beyond events, they create engaging, interesting promotional content for our audience by establishing commercial partnerships with brands that fit the öff-beat values of creativity, innovation and style.

Luke Brookner is one of the bad boys behind offbeat.

his, ''marketing strategy is geared towards providing maximum exposure for all involved, but beyond that (he) set out to develop creative partnerships which encourages (the( audience to engage with (their) brand and (their) artists.

Offbeat presented us with a never ending melting pot of stuff to see, to eat, to watch and to listen. Mischa Barton popped in for a cuppa, as did Eliza Dolittle.

Made in Shoreditch magazine were a key collaborator with the event.

 Offbeat Artists:

As we walked around the Hoxton docks we were instantly immersed into such a diverse selection of fashion art.

It would be LONG to talk about each one so we have uploaded photos instead.

2 artists really caught our eye, a so-called ‘Dirty Danny,’ a bad man fresh from Chiswick and Tagen Donovan, who we didn’t meet but who graciously completed an online interview for us; we loved her work, it was dope as f*ck!

1)   We bring you, Danny Mendoza…

Danny was by far one of the best interviews we had at the Shoreditch fashion show and his art work was eye catching, particularly because he was still adding to it when we were there.

He painted Cara the babe (the b*tch we hate because she’s so fit) Delevigne.

This Chiswick born and bred bad-man told us how he had studied art at University and carried on his passion for art on the streets as a graffiti artist. He loves his Thai food, is going to an enviable sh*tload of festivals this Summer, and if he were a pornstar he’d title himself ‘Dirty Danny’ that’s what we like.

Q : So this is your work the Cara Delevigne painting, what inspired you to get into painting?

A: I studied art at University, and I’ve worked a lot with graffiti.

Q: Where do you like to shop?

A: Online

Q: Are you jetting off to any festivals this Summer?

A:  Yeah boii, Glasto, Secret Garden Party, Outlook and Dimensions.

Q: Haha, so not many then, where is your favrourite place to eat in London?

A: It’s got to be my local Thai,  The Bedlington Café  in Chiswick.

Q: Lastly, what would your porn star name be?

A: Dirty Danny.

 I bring you Tagen Donovan:

Q: What inspired you to get into digital art, illustration and branding?

A: I’m still not 100% sure what inspired me to get into digital art, however, for a long time my main medium was using collage and whilst at sixth form I was taught the basics of photoshop. When I left school I began to teach myself the more advanced technical skills and gradually I began to play around with collage but on a digital format. From that point, all my digitally based art work began to progress and evolve!

Q: Do you work with a team of people, who if so?

A: Well at the moment it’s just myself! If things progress I would love to eventually form a team of super talented individuals.

Q: Have you collaborated with any big names before? Or have you any cool collaborations coming up?

A: I haven’t collaborated with any big names no. However I would love to. I dream of working with MIA and Stussy, possibly even Illustrated People! I’m also in the process of starting my own t-shirt line where I hope to collaborate with loads of crazily talented people I have come across on the internet.

Q: Are you off to any festivals this Summer?

A: Sadly I don’t think so, I really want to go to Bestival though. A girl can dream!

Q: Have you heard of our brand, Illustrated People before?

A: Yeah, I came across Illustrated People a couple of months ago whilst surfing the web!

Q: If so have you any favourite pieces from our collections?

A: I absolutely loved the ‘Grandmas House’ collection and I thought the photo shoot was beautiful.

(get yours here!)

Q: Someone you would love to slap on the forehead really hard?

A: David Cameron, he has a very slap worthy forehead.

Q: What would your porn star name be?

A: Haha, off the top of my head it would be something like ‘Kandy Cheek$!’

And we interviewed some babes:

The Vice Illustration Show

Got any plans this Friday? Head down to the The Pure Evil Gallery in Shoreditch for The Vice Illustration Show. Experience the weird, wonderful and funky work from Vice's favourite illustrators. Along side work that has been featured in online and in the magazine, original prints and drawings will be on show from the exhibiting illustrators: Johnny Ryan, Daniel David Freeman, Kyle Platts, Cei Willis, Nick Gazin, Craig Questions, Jonny Negron, Sam Taylor, Malin Bergstrom and Krent Able. Regular contributor to Vice, Sam Taylor's in your face illustrations have a gross asthetic that we love here in the studio. His weekly comics are an instant boredom killer, browse through these little gems here.

The exhibition is open to the public this Friday the 17th May and ends on the 2nd June. Wild Turkey is sponsoring the private view, so if you can blag or push your way in and take advantage! Although spilling whiskey on people's work is not a good look. In true Vice style, expect the unexpected.

Check out the Vice website for more info.
