5. That Green Versace Look at the iHeart Radio Music Awards
Rihanna dripping’ in Versace. Yes thats right… EVERYTHING green in this outfit – yup its Versace. This unforgettable look was created by stylist Mel Ottenberg who styled Rihanna during her performance of BBHMM at the iHeart Radio Music Award 2015.
4. That Time Rihanna Rocked Up To The Grammy’s In….
A pink empire waist tulle gown. In true Rihanna style she decided to make maximum impact, arriving last on the red carpet at the 2015 Grammys. The Haute Couture dress by Giambattista Valli split opinions but made for one mega epic style moment that night!
3. That Time She ‘SHOOK’ The CFDA’S Red Carpet
This one is something everyone remembers. Rihanna rocking up to the 2014 CFDAs in only a sheer dress, and when we say ‘only’ we mean she rocked just the dress and a nude thong. The custom hand-embellished dress by Adam Selman made headline worldwide and shocked EVERYONE! Truly an iconic moment, topped off by matching glittering gloves, a head scarf and some nude fur.
2. That Met Gala 2017 Look….
The Met is basically a red carpet event where we all wait for Rihanna to drop by and school us in fashion and themes. This was no exception. The 2017 theme was in honour of Rei Kawakubo avant-garde – and of course Rihanna did her homework. Turning up in a Comme des Garçons Fall 2016 outfit – she stole any spotlight of any other celebrity at the event.. #sorrynotsorry
1. Rihanna Wearing Guo Pei, Met 2015
So here is our top moment, flashback to the Met 2015. You guys can’t forget Rihanna in the yellow imperial fur-trimmed cape, right? We’ve all seen the memes. But this look was iconic in so many ways. For one, Rihanna was one of the few celebrities at the event to actually wear a Chinese designer. After all, the theme was ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’.
This look was even more impressive when you heard it took two years to make. Yes, two years and by one woman. The designer, Guo Pei was a small designer until Rihanna stumbled upon Pei online and made this iconic red carpet moment!
