Christmas countdown with Naomi Campbell

For those of you who’ve already demolished your advent calendar, today’s the 7th and there’s just 18 days until Christmas.

The festive season always generates nostalgia for years past, like when we could eat Quality Streets by the kg and still fit into our NYE dress, or when a new Bratz doll would make our entire year. The last days of 2017 feel particularly nostalgic in part because the world is pretty crazy right now and our flip phone days of 2007 seem a lot easier. Our Christmas countdown this year looks back to the glamour and power of Naomi Campbell, who in a quick google search has given us all the party season two piece and faux fur outfit inspo we could ever need.

The end of the year also entails looking forward, once we’ve peeled ourselves out of a chocolate coma and our new Juicy tracksuit that is. Last month Naomi sat down with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan for British Vogue to talk about progress, solidarity, resilience and all things London. She’s been speaking up about inequality in the fashion industry long before the word ‘woke’ made it into the dictionary and we’re happy that these issues are finally more prominent in British culture and public discourse. Besides adding her entire wardrobe to our Christmas wish list we’re here for all of the things Naomi stands for and can’t think of a better woman to crown the Queen of 2017.
